Welcome to the first ever blog of the Greenside PTA!

We are so excited to welcome you to our first ever blog post here, the online home of Greenside's PTA. In case your family only joined Greenside this September or haven't noticed, our website has had a small sprucing up lately, and you can now meet the PTA's team members or discover how to support us however you are able to, so do take a little look around and let us know what you think! We'll also update the website with news and event details throughout the year, so do check back here often!w

Dates For Your Diary

Here is the full line up of PTA events taking place in the academic year 2025-2026. You can also find them on the events page of the website. We will of course remind you closer to the time, but those of you who are super organised are welcome to jot these down in your diaries and make time to join us or even better, get in touch with us to see how you can get involved in the prep and organisation of these events. We hugely appreciate any time and resources you can give!



Babysitting Night



The first event of this year could not have happened without the huge support of the brilliant staff at Greenside, who very kindly took over the care of our children on the evening of the 9th of October in return for a small donation that went straight into the PTA funds. "Moana" was shown on the PTA-funded screen in the hall, accompanied by pizzas, popcorn and hot chocolate, and of course lots of giggles and fun - least of all by the parents who had a free evening as a result. Thanks to Ms Finney and her team, our fundraising effort for the academic year has got off to a flying start!




Wreath-Making Workshop

By popular demand our wreath-making workshop is back for another year on the 27th November - just in time to kick off the festive season!


Enjoy a relaxing evening sipping mulled wine and nibbling on mince pies while being shown how to put together your very own wreath. You will come away with a unique wreath to adorn your front door or internal spaces made using beautiful foliage, dried fruits, ribbons and other decorations. All materials are provided and included in the ticket, and all proceeds go into the PTA fund. Book here!




The Greenside Winter Fair

The biggest PTA event of the term is taking place on Saturday 7th December this year, and we need your help to make it the most magical yet for the Greenside community! We are seeking


  • Raffle Prizes

  • Volunteers for stalls

  • New or nearly new toys, books or small items for Jolly Jars & Tombola

  • Clean and wearable pre-loved kids clothes for our second hand sale

The Christmas Shop

Our Christmas shop will soon re-open with brand new Greenside merchandise perfect for stockings and for gifting friends and family. Oh and it's also where you can order your Christmas tree to be picked up on the day of the Winter Fair. Stay tuned!





Free Half-Term Fun


Been to the Science Museum every holiday? And the Diana Memorial Garden doesn't hold the same appeal for your tween anymore? We've curated some free half term activities both locally and across London for you!


Also see where kids can eat free or only for £1 this half term.





Support Us


Before we sign off for the half term, here's a quick reminder that if you don't have time to take part or support any of the activities mentioned above, you can simply

  • make a one-off donation or set up a monthly direct debit using the details supplied on our Donate page

  • share the Donate page with friends and family who are keen to contribute to the Greenside community

  • choose Greenside PTA as a charity to support for your business or work - any donations made will be tax-free
